About the Partners
The physicians of The Nebraska Medical Center and Methodist Health System are recognized throughout the community for clinical expertise and compassionate care. Collaboration between the two institutions stems from many shared experiences, including extensive University of Nebraska Medical Center clinical rotations at both The Nebraska Medical Center and Methodist Hospital; and, for many community-based physicians, active staff privileges at both The Nebraska Medical Center and Methodist Hospital.
The complementary strengths of each system — Methodist Health Systems’ extensive network of primary care providers, The Nebraska Medical Center’s academic and transplant programs — ensure the necessary elements are in place for a successful accountable care initiative. Though still competitors in the Omaha area, The Nebraska Medical Center and Methodist Health System are united in a common goal to improve the quality of health care in our region.
