ACA Board Members Speak on Innovation (06.01.10)

HealthLeaders Media Rounds web cast on Wednesday, June 2 featured two ACA board members on the topic of Seamless Systems of Care: Better Alignment, Coordination, and Outcomes.  

Presenting at the conference were board members Marcel Devetten, M.D., Chief Quality Officer, The Nebraska Medical Center and Ken Klaasmeyer, President, Methodist Health Partners & Vice President, Methodist Health System.

Participants in the program learned how to:

• Prepare for the future of acute care episode bundling, from CABG to pregnancy.
• Manage readmissions, care transitions, and handoffs.
• Apply lessons learned from two competing health systems that came together to craft an accountable care organization.
• Engage patients and providers in systems of care design.
• Build an effective and measurable population health management program, including medical home and chronic disease optimization.
